The pictures in this link above show the thick coating
of Bt pollen that the Cornell researchers placed on the milkweed leaves.
COMMON SENSE QUESTION: How often does one see such a situation in the
Midwest where a substantial proportion the vast biomass of milkweed
there is covered with a layer of corn pollen that thick? And for how
long in the summer? Common sense tells me this is a rare situation that
might develope on a tiny fraction of the biomass of milkweed and last
for a matter of days, not weeks or months.
