Educational Science ( www.educationalscience.com) offers an Entomology Lab
insect collecting and mounting kit that offers an optional nature lovers
photogammiTM mounting technique. ( You can take photo of a rare butterfly,
retouch the photo, mount photo on paper, hand paint the ventral side, cut
out photo, fold photo into 3-D photo-specimen, add photogammi body mount,
shape and paint the mount, add wire antennas, pin and lable specimen.
(ethyl acetate is not required!) From a distance, not even a lepidopterist
can tell that the specimen is a folded phot! See for yourself - visit
www.educationalscience.com (entomology kits)
Please! let's not start up the collecting vs. observing thread again, at
least for awhile. If we don't show a little discretion here, all those
posts about evolutionist jumping out of black helicopters to release
California Monarchs in New York to be killed by spraying will start up again!
Peace
Bruce
