Schinia spinosae

Gary,

The larvae that I suspect are Schnia spinosae were collected on
Polygonella articulata (Polygonaceae). This would add another host family
to what is the third largest genus of North American macroleps (with 122 or
so species). To the best of my knowledge Schinia were thought to feed on
but six host families.

According to Hardwick (1996) the larvae is NOT known. Adults have been
associated with blossoms of Chrysopsis falcata. And thats all he wrote,
folks.
