You Must Read This

>From newletter "Workers Comp Fund Update".
"The important thing to understand about viruses is that it is impossible
for a virus to start itself. The user must extract and execute the file for
it to do any harm. Merely reading an e-mail message cannot cause any damage.
For the program (virus) to run, the user must run the attachment, usually by
double clicking.

"IMB warns that users 'should not run any programs that come in the mail,
even from a friend, unless you are certain they are sent intentionally by
the apparent sender.'

"If there is any question about an attachment, call the sender to verify the
message, contact your company's technical support to have them scan the
attachment, or simply delete the message."

As a added footnote, I will delete any messages that contains an attachment
if I don't know the company or individual sending it, and especially if they
don't explain it.

Simply highlight (left click with a mouse) the e-mail "From" notice (the
e-mail message that is questionable) in you inbox folder, and push delete
on the key board. Go to the deleted items folder and highlight it again and
push delete on the key board. (The computer might ask you if you are sure
you want to delete this.) It is gone. It is also a good idea to periodically
empty the trash bin from the main screen (Windows).

Hope this helps,
Bruce
