Portal, Arizona Count

Last Saturday, 7/29, we did the second annual Portal, Arizona Count in
the Chiricahuas.  12 folks showed up and we counted 2087 individuals of
77 species.  The Chiricahuas as well as most of SE Arizona is quite dry
this month - Portal only had 1/2 inch of rain in July.  Flowers were few
and individual butterflies were way below normal.

end of the week - if time allows.
