Dear Kelley, Anne and others,

Absolutely true, though I will sheepishly admit I sent my message
about Eucheira socialis directly to Kelley. Sorry to those listers
who would have been interested. Thankfully my colleagues have
picked me up and duplicated the information I sent to Kelley.
(Don't forget those big social congregations of Monarchs in Mexico!)

To follow up on the answers thing: I've never actually met Anne
Kilmer but still consider her a good friend for the very reason that
we replied to each other with some frequency in this very medium.

Well, this is one time I may disagree with Anne, depending on
what she means by the comment. I won't disagree if she means
actually helping to capture a butterfly. But if she means not
lending a hand in any way, then I distinctly disagree. I have many
friends in the Lepidoptera *community* who collect and many who
don't, and both have been helpful resources of information as well
as inspiration. Again, this is not intended to be in any way part of
the collecting/watching debate -- I've had more than enough of that
-- indeed, this is an attempt to get past it. Let's simply agree that
both groups have something to offer, indeed to each other (as well
as, sadly, that both groups will have extremists).

Keep posting with your questions, everyone!
