Painted Lady Food

I remember reading sometime in the last year or two a thread about how to
make food for Painted Lady caterpillar using thistle, a blender and some
other ingredients,
possibly preservatives and/ or stabilizers.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.  I'd like to take advantage
of the abundance of thistle we have right now.  Ours is a homeschool project
gone rabid, not a business.

Off list replies are fine.
