I find that cecropia females greater than 48 hours in age are far less likely
to attract males and remain in a vigorous coupling.  I believe most females
mate the first night they emerge and thier viability decreases dramatically
after that.

I've constructed a mating cage that allows males to readily mate and prevents
females escaping or being taken by predators.  If anyone cares for me to send
them instructions for building, feel free to contact me.
