Lepsters,

Why collect moths?  Well... what else are you supposed to do with them? 
Personally, I enjoy photographing moths and rearing moths just as much.  The
real question, for me, is "why moths?"  A large part of the answer is
"because night time in the woods is really spooky and exciting," and because
"moths are lovely."  I could also add "peer pressure."  Blacklights and MV's
aside, my favourite mothing mode is certainly sugaring, and there the answer
is also obvious:  because I once read W. J. Holland's essay "Sugaring For
Moths."  Nuff said?  Next, let's think about other basic sources of human
happiness... have any of you read James Thurber's humour classic "Is Sex
Neccessary?"
