   Of course!  A machine-generated translation has little hope of being highly
accurate, but it can give you an idea of the gist of the message. I use them a
lot.

   It works best if you already know some of the language, of course.  If you
know nothing, and rely totally on the machine, it could really backfire, when
you get some really "off the wall" idea.

   One of the games computer nerds play is to translate a familiar passage
several times into successive languages, then bring it back around to the
original.  It can be hilarious.
