Moth identification sought. Picture included.

This summer I often had numerous moths flying about the inside of my house.
Most noticeable when I would have all the windows closed. I hope they
weren't nesting in the house.

Anyway, I took a picture of one and I hope you all can identify it. And
give me a little background on why I had so many. I live in the Park Slope
section of Brooklyn, NY.
