Douglas Adams has adequately described the end of the universe; I see no
reason for further speculation. He agrees with Eliot, of course.
He also became a confirmed atheist, but is now where savage indignation
will no longer wound him. And, I hope, received an adequate apology for
the inconvenience.
No butterflies attended the chamber music festival in Cork except a few
whites, probably Pieris brassicae but who knows. They and a couple of
little girls were dancing in the sunlight in the flower garden while I
was supposed to be paying attention to a Master Class taught by Valentin
Borodin, I think his name was. Exquisite.
