A lot of things in life become misused. There are elements of society who
actually seen to thrive on finding how to misuse and pervert legitimate
things.
The Pocket Net has been around for a long time. I don't know the "story"
behind its invention, but I doubt it was with any unlawful intent.
Unfortunately if has now become an instrument of infamy. I do not own one
and now never will for pulling one out of my pocket would surely indicate
to some that I am a crook. Perhaps the pocket net will join automatic
weapons as a banned item.
Too bad. From what I know of them they would make a good tool for watchers
who want to net and release. Speaking of which - I liked the idea of
putting a "window" in at the end of the bag. I also still do not favor this
activity except by very capable people and for specific reasons. Wildlife
are indeed not toys to be played with. See, there is the 20% some can agree
with.
Paradoxically yours
Ron
