pachysphinx modesta

Found the remains (wings) of what appears to be a modest sphinx on the
upper side of the wings but the hindwing has no color whatsoever and is
the same grey/brown as the forewing. Underside of the hindwing has a
crimson or maroon patch with two dark brown or black slashes near the
body on the bottom of the wing. Forewing underside has less maroon. The
scalloped edges of both wings appear to have gold upper and lower. Is it
a modest or something else?
Oh, I'm in Delaware County NY
