Well, I could not use the genus name in the subject line because right now I
am not sure if it should go into Callophrys, Mitoura, Loranthomitoura,
Cisincisalia. The species name is spinetorum and it seems that most recent
literature has been treating it as monotypic but as usual I see no reasons
given. However I recently remembered a paper by Clench 1981 Bull. Allyn Mus.
wherein he retrieves the old Edwards's name ninus and assigns it to Colorado
etc populations as a distinct subspecies. If anyone has any literature
citations that should cause me to disbelieve Clench's interpretation; please
sing out. Thx.
