Enodia question

[Kondla, Norbert FOR:EX]

The taxa anthedon and borealis were described as distinct subspecies by
Clark back in 1936 but the Miller and Brown checklist and most recent
literature treats borealis as a synonym of anthedon. Can anyone provide a
citation that gives the reasons for treating these as synonyms ?? Personal
opinions on this topic would also be welcome. Thanks.
