Crackers

Hi,
I had my first experience with crackers (Hamadryas) in Brazil last
year, quite amazing! I don't remember the species, but they were cracking
all over the place. The butterflies cracked everytime I saw them take off
from the trunk of a tree, where they rested. I was astounded since I'd
never even heard tell of butterflies making sounds. But alas I have no
other information as to how they make these sounds.

Cheers,
Niklas
