Pipevine question

While we're on Pipevine. Does anyone have suggestions on how to propagate it.

Sticking terminals into the ground doesn't seem to work.
I haven't gotten seeds to germinate (with or without refrigeration, freezing or
scarification).

The natural population in NE New Jersey on the Palisades has vines growing up the
hillside (not so much cascading down), that are
over 100 feet long, without any side rooting.
