Pupa vs. Chrysalis

This is really wierd.  Since the first part of my message is getting
through, but the remainder is not no matter what I do, I will redo it
all in a different format.  From E. B. Ford's book 'Butterflies', 1957
page 40 he says 'From the Greek (and then six greek letters followed by
the word gold in parentheses), referring, originally, to the pupae of
certain Nymphalidae which are marked with metallic golden spots'
