Endangered species act - RFI on states' laws

To go beyond interesting stories and to get at actual (ink on paper) laws, I
think it would be helpful if the Lep Soc or an individual created a web site
that contained or linked to:

1) each state's list of T&E invertebrates species,

2) each state's law with regard to their T&E invertebrates,

3) each state's lists and laws on "species of concern" should also be
addressed and

4) the federally listed species that may reside in each state.

In Texas, the state legislature prohibits Texas Parks and Wildlife from
putting any invertebrate species on the state threatened and endangered
species list, that is not first put on the federal threatened and endangered
species list. The only exceptions to this prohibition on independent listing
of invertebrates are Mollusks and Crustaceans. Our species of concern have
no legal protection.
