I appreciate very much Jaakko Kullberg's comments on the Papilio machaon controversy. However, Jaakko (the note was signed "jaska"?), what research do you cite that shows Papilio machaon migrating yearly to Alaska across the Bering Strait? Could you provide a literature citation? This will help clarify the issue at hand.

Ken Philips, if you read this, do you know of this migration phenomenon? Does anyone know if aliaska or a similar phenotype occurs on the Russian side of the Bering Strait.

Thanks very much!
