If I am mistaken about the following - please correct me.
Monarchs have relatively tough wings. When handling them for tagging it
seems that the ventral hind wing doesn't even seem to loose scales.
Vanessa wings seem to be much more delicate and more easlity damaged.
Perhaps a different way could be found to "tag" individuals of this genus?
