A message to you all from DEP Ombudsman Benjamin Brumberg:

I apologize in advance for the imposition and short notice. Unfortunately,
the only day I can suggest for a joint field trip is Saturday December 14th.
The Ombudsman wishes to invite every one who can make it to join in for what
may prove to be an important and interesting day. I must fly into Key
West on
the 13th and would like to meet up at Bahia Honda say around 10AM -
rain or
shine. After BHSP, we will be traveling northward visiting other sites.
(Potential release sites?) Suggestions welcome and hope for good weather. I
suspect a number of Government Agency folks might be joining us.

If you're interested in joining us, please email Douglas Dawn,
MexicoDoug at aol.com who is handling some arrangements for accommodation
and hopes to camp at Bahia Honda the 13th.
If enough people are interested, perhaps a minibus or van could carry
the explorers from park to park. But the date is very close, and none of
us can afford to pay in advance because you "might" come. So treat Doug
kindly, please.
Please note that David Fine, who will be leading the expedition, is
still collecting data about all sightings, and especially about
collected specimens, of "Miami Blue" butterflies. We are also taking an
interest in other rare butterflies, native and exotic, and may even
succeed in finding the Lost Colony of Miami Blues in Key Largo.
Y'all come
Anne Kilmer MBBRP
Chief, Miami Blue Crew
