Dear Ron, Felix, et al.

The statement means that the spelling of species names is intended to be that of the original authors.  Using various emended endings on species names is not compatible with today's computer systems and retrieval.  If everyone uses original orthography then such problems will be avoided.  If one finds names in our list that are not the original author;s spelling then please let us know so that it can be modified in our revisions.
