The SC-NABN lists of common names are completely loaded and available at
The International Lepidoptera Survey (TILS) web site
http://www.tils-ttr.org Just click on "Lep Names" on the main menu. The
SC-NABN is composed of 14 sections. This is a tremendous free resource and
judging from our web site's stats, scores of copies are being downloaded
and printed out. The SC-NABN (Standardized Common - North American
Butterfly Names) is derived from several sources. (95% of these names are
"on the books" and are _not_ newly contrived by TILS.)

5)
Input from various persons who have forwarded corrections and additions via
our Comments utility.

This is by far the most extensive and up to date list of common names for
the US and Canada available in any format. Yet, it still needs lots of
work. Comments and corrections are greatly needed. Any number of taxa
have doubtless been overlooked, many taxa have no common names as yet, and
others will need to be corrected to popular regional usage.
