[moth-rah] why I prefer moths from Steve Johnson

While you're on the subject, I had a couple mystery midnight snackers this
past summer that took 3mm samples from the spreading board from Papilio
multicaudata as well as Eacles, Manduca and several other Pena Blanca
treasures. The damage was similar to that seen in Ferguson's Fascicle
20.2B Plate 19, Fig8 on H. euryalis. My thoughts were either that a
yellowjacket came in through the window during the day, or a cockroach at
night. No crickets or centepedes in this house, but we get that big German
cockroach periodically. Wasn't dermestid unless a stray adult flew in,
but saw no sign. Dash and dine. Anybody recognize that damage?
