attracting moths

Seems like there was a discussion on this awhile back but I can't find it in my saved msgs.  
 
What is the best way to attract moths for an evening moth program.  I know the white sheet part, but what is the best light source to use.  I'm in the desert southwest, would "mothing" be successful in March-April & Oct-Nov?
