Sounds like there might be a monarch overwintering site somewhere
in or near Yuma.  You've seen a desert monarch overwintering 
site near Lake Havasu City, Mark Walker has seen one at Anza Borrego,
Ken Davenport has seen a few at Bakersfield and I have seen one
at Palm Springs, CA and three in the Saline Valley.
