Paul,
I also have seen gatherings of them during late February (2002) at Balboa
Park, San Diego, CA...The overwintering site near Lake Havasu City is at
Havasu Springs, off of Rt. 95 about 25 miles south of Lake Havasu
City...Occasionally some Queens have been seen there as well...
