Semiothus pinistrobata

Hello all'

As an amateur lepidopterist I read and study all I can on the
subject. I recently captured a Semiothus pinistrobata and as I
readied my collection label noticed some experts calling it by a
different name; that of Carnia (Semiothus) pinistrobata. What are the
dynamics taking place with this change of nomenclature? I am trying
to understand the naming principles but remain quite confused.

Any explanation would be most helpful.

Thanks in advance
