University of Alberta Virtual Museum

The University of Alberta Strickland Museum of Entomology Virtual Museum is (at last !!!) searchable via Google. Type in a species name (i.e. Coranarta macrostigma) and it takes you to the color image of the moth or butterfly on the Virtual Museum image browse page. This in turn is linked to a "species page" write-up for the species, as well as records for the specimens of that species in the museum database, a map, etc. Although the focus is on Alberta material, specimens from elsewhere are also included, and now that most of the Alberta material is databased, more material from outside the province is slowly being added.
