	Job Title: Lepidopterist, McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity

	Job Type: Full-time permanent position
	
	Description:
	
		Position oversees the maintenance of live butterfly cultures in 6400 square foot tropical conservatory exhibit. Responsible for ordering and coordinating regular livestock shipments, butterfly breeding, USDA permitting and reporting, laboratory maintenance, and record keeping. Works cooperatively with conservatory manager, exhibit horticulturist, and museum staff. Provides training and guidance to volunteers. Performs other duties, including staffing of exhibit and public interpretation, as assigned. 

		Qualifications include Bachelor's Degree in related field; Master's Degree preferred, and three years experience with live insect cultures. Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills needed. Museum or science education background a plus.
