Gary,
I am still here, but am unable to help with this particular request. I will send you a separate email on another matter.
I am very interested in North American Catocala electronic images and sighting data as I am trying to put together state by state
(even county by county where there is sufficient data) checklists.

  Subject: Location of French types
It has been so quiet I will ask a question or two to see if anyone is still out there (here?)!
Does anyone know where the G.H. French types are housed? In particular I am looking for the a photo of the type of Panthea gigantea French. French resided in Carbondale Ill.
Any help will be appreciated - also any hints on how to track down type material like this on my own!
  Cheers
  Gary Anweiler
