Don, and Lepsters All,
This species is also well established on the Hawaiian islands. The
following website shows a number of fine photographs, although as you
point out it is the western pygmy blue, not the eastern:

Might I suggest that the artist should borrow an actual specimen from
one of the many collections in Florida to use as a reference? The
illustrator I work with finds that photographs are far inferior to
real specimens when it comes to preparing detailed artwork.
