I would also like to add and underline the fact that suburban and exurban sprawl and poor agricultural practices in the four southeast Michigan counties have made a mess of our region's native habitats and ecosystems. It is a pretty big region to mess up and I do not wish these 'blessings' on any other region where the natural environment is in better shape.
