Neil:

Thanks for posting this interesting overview on the work out of 
Finland.  One of
the current pushes with genomic data is trying to isolate those specific genes
under selection.  For leps-list folks interested in how this is done, I've
posted some material on this,  see chapters 9-11 at

9 gives the general overview of approaches, while 10 and 11 (to be 
posted later
this week) are pretty heavy-duty but do show where all the bodies are buried
with these approaches.
