[Leps-l] Alexander Barrett Klots

Cornelius Ephraim Klots, the son of Alexander Barrett Klots, is coming to the University of Connecticut on 19 July to view existing and donate new archival materials to his father’s Special Collection at the Dodd Center.  If any of you were influenced by Bill Klots’ Field Guide to the Butterflies (1951, and subsequent printings) or other writings by Klots, which included seventeen other books on butterflies and natural history, this would be a marvelous time to put some of those thoughts into an email and send to Ephraim (cemeklots at msn.com).

Bill was both a Charter and Honorary Life Member of the Lepidopterists’ Society, and was elected Society President in 1957 and Vice-President in 1974.
