Subject: Association of Yiddish Clubs COnference

The 12th International Association of Yiddish Clubs Conference will be 
held October 24-27, 2008 in La Jolla, California, the upscale suburb of 
San Diego. There will be an organizational meeting of the International 
Association of Yiddish Teachers in formation.

At each of the 5 concurrent programs 1 will cover the areas of Yiddish
teaching and learning. There will be 4 panels each with a moderator and 4
master teachers covering pre-school, shule. university and adult/seniors.

Plenary session speakers include Boris Sandler, Prof. Iosif Vaisman and 
Yale Strom. Also presenting are native Czernowitzers Dr. Meinhard Mayer 
and Dr. Julius Scherzer.

Lilke Majzner will receive The Third IAYC Yiddish Lifetime Service Award,
and there will be top flight Yiddish entertainment each evening.
