The League for Yiddish is pleased to announce that our magazine Afn
Shvel is now in its 70th year. To celebrate this momentous anniversary we
have published a unique retrospective "70th Anniversary Issue" that
includes some of the most interesting articles from over the last 70
years. We are proud of the fact that we have published and continue to
publish the best Yiddish essayists, prose writers and poets - Yankev
Glatshteyn, Avrom Sutzkever, Avrom Golomb, Saul Goodman, Isaac Nachman
Steinberg, Mordkhe Schaechter, Joshua Fishman, Blume Lempel, Rivka Basman
Ben-Haim, Alexander Spiegelblatt, David Roskies, to name but a few.
