Mendele Personal Notices & Announcements

February 26, 2012

To minimize wear and tear on the untershames, three requests:

1. Send time-sensitive notices well in advance.
2. Send material as plain text: no HTML, other coding, or attachments;and
write MENDELE PERSONALS in the subject line.
3. Correspond directly with the person who or organization which has
posted the notice,
*not* with your ever-beleaguered untershames.

Subject: Seeking material for a Yiddish burlesque cabaret

Git morgn alemen,

I'm Milna Kartowski, yiddish singer and actress from Paris.

My new project will be a yiddish burlesque Cabaret. Two women talking
about politic, revolutions, revolutionary ideas, men, political men, dirty
ideas, drugs, alcohol, sex, (Rock and roll), power with a lot of humor
and glamor.

We're looking for cabaret yiddish songs about these themes from the
20s-30s, as well as all the repertory with these themes of the 19th, 20th
and 21rst centuries.

Any ideas, any suggestions, any sheet music, poems, recordings could help
us so much!!!

Thanks a lot!
A sheynem dank
