Mendele Personal Notices and Announcements
January 24,2014
To minimize wear and tear on the untershames, three requests:
1. Send time-sensitive notices well in advance.
2. Send material as plain text to victor.bers at yale.edu as plain text (no
HTML, other coding,or
attachments and write MENDELE PERSONALS in the subject line.
3. Correspond directly with the person who or organization which has posted
the notice, *not* with your ever-beleaguered untershames.

Subject: Seeking translator to work in Yiddish archives in New York
Date: January 23, 2014 [sent to Mendele ***very*long ago but neglected by
the Untershames]
I'm writing on behalf of Professor William Forbath, a legal historian at
UT-Austin who is currently visiting at NYU Law School. Prof. Forbath is
engaged in a book project on Jewish lawyers and American legal thought and
is hoping to find a researcher interested in doing translation work
involving Yiddish-language archives in NYC. Interested researchers can
contact Prof. Forbath directly at wforbath at law.utexas.edu or get in touch
with me for more information at jeremy.kessler at yale.edu.
