Hello!

My name is Valerie De Cruz and I am director of the Greenfield Intercultural
Center (GIC). The GIC is a student activity center dedicated to helping
increase diversity and support for diverse populations at the University of
Pennsylvania. We are working with faculty, administrators and students at
Penn to develop a recruitment strategy for recruiting Native American
students to the University of Pennsylvania (Penn). We are an Ivy League
institution located in the heart of Philadelphia. The student recruitment
strategy is part of an ongoing campus project to make Penn more accessible
to and supportive of Native people. Our partners on campus include Six
Directions, a student organization that works to build Native community at
Penn and to raise awareness on campus about issues that impact Native
communities. There is also a newly conceived Center for Native American
Studies that is working to bring Native scholars to campus and to increase
academic offerings in this area and a new Association of Native Alumni
(ANA). We are interested in any insights you may have on the population in
your area, where the communities are located and any suggestions on how we
can reach out to Native communities in your area. We were hoping you could
also connect us to resources (schools, community organizations and
individuals) that can help us in this effort. Thank you in advance and I
