Greetings all,
To follow-up on Ruth Garby Torres' message, I have made my radio program
episode that focuses on the commission proposal available to the general
public for educational purposes, especially for the legislators. An edited
version of the program can be accessed at the following site, and you can
include this link in any letters to the legislators if you write them to
support the bill (HB 5141)
http://ctnativeamericanaffairs.mypodcast.com/2008/03/Connecticut_American_Indian_Affairs-90513.html
Please note that I edited out the musical items that were included on the
program, but only because some suggested that the legislators might
tune-out if they heard music in between the interviews. An un-edited
version will soon be archived through my website:

In the mean time, I hope folks on this email list can take time to listen
to the six people interviewed about the proposal for the CT Native
American Affairs Commission Proposal: L. Mixashawn Rozie (Mahicanu), Mikki
Anganstata, (Eastern Cherokee), Sherman Paul (Maliseet), Ruth Garby Torres
(Schaghticoke Tribal Nation), Trudie Lamb Richmond (Schaghticoke Tribal
Nation, and Cedric Woods (Lumbee).
Mahalo, with thanks, Kehaulani
