The University of Minnesota Duluth American Indian Studies Department
invites applications for a full time tenure-track position at the
Assistant Professor level to teach in the Master of Tribal
Administration and Governance program, with the appointment beginning
August 27, 2012. The successful candidate will produce research and
teach a range of courses in the new Master of Tribal Administration
and Governance (MTAG) program, including but not limited to courses in
tribal management, finance, accounting, budgets, leadership, and
ethics. Service typically includes advising MTAG students, committee
assignments, curriculum development, and service to American Indian
communities. The candidate may be expected to contribute to the
undergraduate program. The MTAG program seeks to train tribal
administrators and future tribal leaders, while also developing
research that is valuable to Indian tribes and that enhances and
expands the best practices for managing Indian reservations.Review of
