Assistant Professor in Native American & Indigenous Literature / Studies



The Department of English at Marquette University seeks a tenure-track assistant professor with expertise in Native American and Indigenous Literature and Studies.  Additional expertise is desired in Great Lakes tribal nations, Indigenous critical theory, Indigenous feminisms, Latinx Indigeneities, and queer Indigenous studies, and/or creative writing. The department consists of 24 full-time, research-active faculty and offers BA, MA and PhD degrees. Early career and research-intensive faculty teach two courses per semester. Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels is required, as is evidence of scholarly activity and potential and a strong commitment to service.
