Dear John and others:

I agree that some standard references for often-asked questions could be an
excellent resource to direct people... and I'm prepared to offer a place on
the ASC web site for reasonable groups of categories and vetted lists of
standard sources or referencce works that would be useful both to collection
managers and to curators in small institutions that do not have collections
specialists.

We are too tiny staff-wise (2 staff here) to assemble, but if anyone is
willing to lend a hand we could get this together and posted (and it could
be a series of categories that gets posted over time) as a free resource
that is a service to both ASC and SPNHC constituents.

Let me know if you would like to go ahead.
