       40.00 hours per week; work hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Additional Information:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. Class
"C" Operator's Driver's License.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree. Eighteen months of experience
working with natural collections, especially ichthyology or herpetology
collections. Experience with bird and mammal collections very helpful.
Knowledge of specimens, computer cataloging, loan processing, and curation
of natural standard museum practices with regard to accessioning of natural
history specimens. Database management and experience with web-based
resources. Supervisory experience, attention to detail, and organizational
skills are strong assets for this position.

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: To manage the activities of the major non-fossil
vertebrate collections of the Texas Memorial Museum and ensure their proper
care and maintenance.

FUNCTIONS: ESSENTIAL: Computer catalog specimens. Process loans. Manage and
maintain collections. Supervise other staff and students. Handle visitors
and inquiries. Assist with museum's education and exhibit programs. Manage
day-to-day collection administrative needs and supplies.
