Curator/Archivist I
Bugroom and Integrated Pest Management Technician
The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History seeks to hire for
the position of Curator/Archivist I to serve as Integrated Pest
Management and Bug Room Technician. The individual selected will
provide technical assistance for the museum's integrated pest
management (IPM) program, including operation and maintenance of the
Isolation and Treatment facility, and maintenance and operation of
the dermestid facility for skeletal preparations. The technician will
perform duties in accordance with accepted museum practices and
standards for collections care specifically related to pest
management and preparing research-quality skeletal material. The
candidate will receive general supervision from the Conservator and
may supervise a small staff and/or volunteers. The successful
candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in biology, anthropology, or
other appropriate museum-related discipline; some museum-related
experience is preferred. This is a full-time position and can begin
immediately; the start date is negotiable. Applicants should submit
