[NHCOLL-L:2200] AMNH Fossil Mammal Collection - Collection Moves

Starting March 1 2004,we will be moving the fossil mammal collections 
currently housed on the 7th floor of the AMNH's Frick Building. This move 
is part of an ongoing renovation project. As a result, the 7th floor 
collection will be closed to visitors from March 1 - May 15 2004. Groups 
affected by the move include prototheria, marsupials, insectivores, bats, 
primates, xenarthrans, lagomorphs, rodents, carnivores, whales, and various 
groups of archaic ungulates. Anyone wishing to use the collection should 
schedule their visit prior to 1 March, or after 15 May. Specific enquiries 
regarding the move and accessibility of specimens should be sent to 
fminfo at amnh.org.
