Job Announcement

 

Technical Project Management Specialist II

 

Responsible for overseeing the conversion of current data within 4
database systems to a unified Specify Database Management System,
Responsible for daily use and operations of database management system,
Responsible for troubleshooting and strategically planning for the
future of the database management system.  

 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in computer related or library systems field, natural
or cultural history, or museum studies OR an equivalent combination of
education/job related experience. 

24 months experience with database management systems. 

Experience in data clean-up and conversion is important as this is a
central part of the anticipated scope of this position.  

 

Preference will be given to those with experience using Specify
(especially in a similar transition), Access, Excel, and FileMaker.
Substantial experience with report-building software and database
systems as well as web-based applications is preferred. Additionally,
experience working with biological, geological, anthropological
collections and museum operations will be favored.  

 

Compensation:

$35,000 - $40,000 + full-time University Benefits package
